Update: Click here to join the next 7 Day Candida Cleanse Challenge!
I feel like I need to do a cleanse. My body feels out of sorts, and my skin could be better. I think it’s getting to be time to do some cleansing (after Christmas of course!).
For me, candida cleanses are tried and true…. they work extremely well for me every time I’ve done one – and from what I know about the state of most people’s gut flora and digestive systems, I think doing a candida cleanse would be extremely beneficial to most people and their skin, either to kick off a healthy diet or to simply tighten things up.
It’s easy to procrastinate on though… I can’t say I ever actually get excited to do a cleanse and usually put it off as long as possible (It’s never actually that bad though! Our fears are always bigger than the task). Don’t you think it would be so much easier to get motivated though if you had resources that told you exactly what to eat and the moral support of people who were doing the cleanse at the same time?
Well, I have an idea. Please watch the video and give me some feedback!

What do you think? Would you be interested in something like this?

I think it’s a great idea! I would be totally up for it, as I’ve wanted to do a candida cleanse, but honestly didn’t know where to begin.
I think it sounds like a great idea too. I did a two month candida cleanse outlined in Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine by Gabriel Cousens when I was on a raw vegan diet to try and clear my acne. It was total hell, and I lost waaaay too much weight.
Now that I eat cooked veggies and meat, I was trying to find a cleanse that wouldn’t be crazy restrictive or involve a ton of fasting. So this is absolutely perfect.
LOVE the idea!
I was planning on doing a 10 week candida cleanse in January, but now I’m thinking of doing the GAPS diet instead to officially heal my gut for good, kill the candida and put an end to my recurrent yeast infectio I’ve had for 8 months. So, I think it would be awesome to do your plan because it would just be cool for me to know that other people are doing a similar thing as me.
I think the GAPS and Candida cleanses are super great, i will probably combine principles from the two… I’m not sure if this one will be quite as intense as the GAPS intro diet, but I haven’t worked all that out yet!
YES! excellent idea. would the forum be free though?
Hi Lola – no the forum would be private for those who paid for the cleanse and be open for the duration of it
how much would that cost?
i think it’s a really good idea. I’ve been needing to do the cleanse for awhile, but I tried it for a month once before and it was difficult. I was constantly hungry and never felt full no matter how many of the good foods i ate, and lost way too much weight on top of it. I cut out most carbs like most cleanses say, but I think my body needs carbs to function. I would be interested if i can find a way to be full on this diet.
sounds like a great idea, like one of those “30 day challenges.”
have you done a cleanse like the one you’re going to do before? maybe after you talk about your results after doing it it’ll get more people on board.
Yes I have, I’ve done two candida cleanses, both have been the most effective things for my acne to date
this is so bizarre (the coincidence)…I just started an anti-candida cleanse three days ago and I have been going INSANE I just feel so deprived (breaking a massive fructose addiction) and alone (I have no one that eats remotely “healthy” around me so I can’t talk to anyone about it) this is exactly what I needed to hear! I really really think your plan sounds like some heavenly divine-sent gift. The private forum would be fantastic! thank you so much. I’m definitely going to do this with you! Tracy (I just have to say this, even if you never see this..even though this isn’t the place at all haha)…since I started following you (I found you through highonhealth 🙂 my skin has improved drastically. I cannot thank you enough. I am so grateful. I have suffered from severe acne since I was 12 (I am now 19) and I thought it would never subside, but thanks to my diet and my healthy lifestyle I’ve finally made progress! Even my depression and anxiety has been alleviated. I love you, thank you for giving me my life back 🙂

Aw Lucy that was so wonderful to read 🙂 I’m SO happy you’ve seen so much improvement!!
YEEESS!!!! Jan 1st lets do it to kick off the new year!! I was going to do the master cleanse Jan 1st because I wanted to do a cleanse and have done it before, but it has soooo much sugar involved so I wanted to try a different cleanse but didn’t know of any others, so this is an AWESOME idea!!!
Cool! I think candida cleanses are usually very effective for those with acne… I don’t know if it’s going to be January 1st though, it depends on how fast I get it together! I will try … it will definitely be in January
loooove it
candida sounds cool…can someone explain the whole “die-off” thing? im scared to try it because ive heard acne gets a lot worse before it gets better from the release of toxins.
Hi Jippy,
Unfortunately yes, there may be some die-off reactions depending on how different the food on the cleanse is to how you’re currently eating… but detox reactions usually aren’t that serious or last that long… and they’re good for you!! It’s just a little bump in the road to better things!
I’m definitely in. I love the idea of menu plans and grocery lists especially since the idea of a cleanse is a bit terrifying 🙂
I would LOVE this! I’ve been on a candida cleanse for about 2 months now and need more inspiration and motivation to keep going! It’s been sooo amazing for my skin too 🙂 I want to keep up with it for as long as I can so this would be great!
Yay I’m so happy everyone is into it! I will get to working on it!
This would be amazing!! 😀
hey i want to join too! i need some guidance because i alway fail to do these cleanses completely.how can i pay in dollars?i am from the eu.
Do you have paypal Magda? It will do the conversion for you. I’ve sent money to people in Greece, the UK and Canada thru paypal before.
This sounds good. I started eating pretty much anti-candida in September, but with the holidays have slipped a LOT. This would be great to get me back on track and to have even more support is always a good thing.
Such a greaaat idea Tracy! I would definitely, definitely do it!!!
Another YES!
Hi Tracey!
I’ve been reading your blog for a little while now and really enjoy it. I don’t have bad acne, but I do very much appreciate your overall health approach.
I just wanted to ask you what you think of a raw detox (cleanse)? I was starting to do one this week but have put it off due a bad cold. Do you think it’s worth it?
Hmm… I think if you have any digestive problems, they aren’t very good because raw vegetables are really hard to digest especially with a bad gut! But I don’t know… they are helpful cleansing diets to get rid of some toxins…also I’ve done like… raw juice fasting (for ten days once!) and it didn’t do a lick for my acne…. of course I am but one person though so it might do wonders for you. I personally find candida cleanses much more effective for me
I think i’d be interested. I’d want to know what foods are included or restrictions it involves tho.
aw Tracy you look radiant and what an awesome view behind you, I wish I could be there in the sunshine. I’m definitely interested in this! Candida cleanse is something I’ve always heard about for acne and wanted to try. Unfortunately I’m going on holiday and will be without internet until the 15th of January. So if this doesn’t get started until after then I’d love to participate. If not, I’d love to be a part of it next time 🙂
I think someone mentioned about cost. How much would it cost? By the way, sounds like a great idea.
How long does a candida cleanse last? I would be interested in trying this out towards the end of January when I come back from vacation. Would everyone on the forum need to start at the same time or could you hop in whenever? Also, is it one of those diets where you have to incorporate a lot of foods from the health food store or are you pretty much set with the produce section of the grocery store?
I’d be down for a candida cleanse.
I’m fasting right now actually (liquids/teas/green smoothies only) although I theoretically broke it with psilocybin mushrooms (does that even count as food?.) I figure once my fast ends I’ll transition into a candida cleanse.
Lol… did the fasting make your trip ultra vivid?
Not really much stronger, but it made it last for 2 whole days which was a bit of an inconvenience although I got a lot of writing and good conversation done.
Tracy,
I think your idea is brilliant & I am totally in. Being a vegetarian, how would I go about this?
That sounds like a really good idea actually! I’ve had candida in the past and found it hard to do it all on my own. Im not sure if I still have it, I don’t have any major signs but I do have acne.
And.. good news, I finally found a place where I can do a VEGA-test test! Yayy! So that will show me if I still deal with candida. And if I do.. I would love to join in the candida cleanse! Maybe you can keep the forum going after the guided cleanse ends for people who want to continue, because 2 weeks is quite short.
Hey everyone!!
Thanks for all your responses – I will post a big article on Monday explaining exactly what will be involved and how it will work and answer all questions! Then you can give me some more feedback to make sure it’s going to jive with you so that we’re all happy 🙂
… and how much will it be? How to pay when you’re from Europe?
does anyone know if raw apple cider vinegar is allowed in the anti-candida and leaky gut diet?some say yes, some say no..isnt vinegar made of yeast?
I love the idea!! Thanks Tracy!
I would also love for you to include Pay Pal though as a payment option – trying to get credit cards out of my life!
Any chance you could look into that?
The cost will be $19.95 and yes it will be set up so you can pay with either pay pal or credit card
Awesome,thanks!
excited to have people who understand the importance of the diet when you have candida acne…i’ve been struggling with severe acne for the last 8 months and had never had acne before and i’m in my 30’s….i’ve now been doing the body ecology diet for a couple months pretty strictly and started to see results…then went off the diet for a christmas dinner and can’t seem to get back on track and my face has regressed and i am so mad at myself cause i was doing so good…it would be nice to have some support!!
Awesome well hopefully we can all get back on track after Christmas with this!
Maybe this kind of motivation is just what I need. I can spare 20 bucks, and I can definitely use a cleansing diet, especially it is going to help clear my acne!
yes id like a friend to do this. i got no support. only friends that pressure me to drink and when i try to take care of myself they accuse me of having an eating disorder!!!!! When i am lenient with what i eat i break out!! id like help yes support
I just started a cleanse today so I am IN!
yes yes yes!
Yes, I need a candida cleanse….would like to start as soon as possible!!!
Okay, I’m working on it. It probably won’t be until february though… I’ll try to give everyone a start date when the end of the work is in sight
Hei Tracy,
I am going to have a huge exam on march 6th, so I will have to study like hell the week before that. Do you think it’s still possible for me to join? I was really looking forward to doing this cleanse with you guys, but I won’t if it would totally affect my ability to study/concentrate since this is one of my last exams…
Thanks for the answer!
Hi Jules,
You might be going through some detox symptoms at that time, so it may affect your ability to concentrate. And there may be a learning curve with cooking and preparing your own food and new foods if you aren’t used to that, it could be a bit overwhelming to do the cleanse at that time.
However, I am planning to host these cleanses every month, so if you don’t want to do this one, you can always do the next one. I will also provide some option for people who purchase the program and then for some reason can’t do the cleanse on those dates to defer to the next round. So when I get it set up and for sale, if you want to purchase it early that will be fine, and you can just be added to the forum discussion the following month or whenever you want to do it.
Oh my word, I will totally do this with you! Sounds like a great idea.
This is a wicked idea! Kudos Tracy 🙂
Thank you soooo much!
I totally want to do this. 😀
Thank you, I can’t wait to start. 🙂
I shall be watching the site for updates.
Hi Tracy,
I’ve just bought your book yesterday, very good ;).
Concerning myself, I’ve been on Accutane years ago, it worked for 2 years but then I’ve had another form of Acne, even if it’s not as severe as it was before, I want to get rid of it (I’m 27!)but not using Accutane anymore!
I’m starting a anti candida diet, at least, I try to follow it as well as possible.
I’m French, and even if I have never been a crazy bread and cheese eater (I don’t even talk about Wine), it’s difficult to definitely stop all of these.
It’s not a problem to do it for one month, but then, after my cleaning, do you think it is possible to eat some kind of raw milk cheese(we have some here)or goat cheese? And, there is also free-gluten bread (but I’ve seen that sometimes there is starch added…), is it good?
For breakfast it’s also complicated to know what to eat (We’re used to eat a lot of cereals and milk), I love fruits, so I can do smoothies, but than I like to eat something solid (I eat a lot on breakfast), and I’ve found some millet or spelt flakes, with rice milk, it could be ok?
Thank you very much for your answer, and also all what you do !:)
Hi Sam!
I understand… it’s very difficult to get away from cultural eating… mostly from an emotional and social perspective. However, I think a healthy diet could easily jive with a French diet…. well…. maybe aside from the baguettes :). Raw cheese is likely fine, even better if it’s aged (read my recent article about eating dairy when you have acne). Wine is iffy for sure, but having a glass of red sometimes is probably also just fine!
But yeah… eat lots of good quality meat and seafood, with butter, roast vegetables… throw some raw cheese in there, raw milk kefir if you want… lots of good fats is great! Read more into the Weston A Price foundation and traditional foods way of eating…. I think you’ll find it’s delicious.
What do you think about having eggs for breakfast? Omelettes and that sort of thing?
I’ll check the Weston A Price foundation, thanks. Yes this is crazy here, cheese, bread and wine are the foundation of the French eating tradition, our supermarket are full of that, so I need to close my eyes on 80% of it, ahah. But I’m able to do it without a strong frustration, and btw, I’m moving to your country(Canada) in 2 months with a Working Holiday Visa, so I will have less temptation there, it will be easier to change my diet I guess, with eggs in the morning! 😉 (I used to eat this only on Holidays in the USA…).
Long life to your website! 🙂
I LOVEEE your site! Very informative and motivational.
I am planning on doing a candida cleanse soon but I have a couple of questions I would love to hear your thoughts on.
I belief I’ve been suffering from a Candida overgrowth for 8 months now how long do you think I should be on the cleanse/diet? I was thinking around 6 weeks? And also do you think NOW Foods is a reputable brand to get probiotics and anti-fungals from?
I am excited but nervous to start this diet as I am worried of the outcomes!
Peace & Love
Hi Delss,
It’s really hard to say how long you should be on it… I think you should give it a try for at least 4 to 6 weeks and then reassess how it is going and if you’ve seen improvements. I don’t really think this is a diet that you should be on for months or years or anything.
The reviews for Now foods brands of probiotics and antifungals seem to be positive, so I’d go for it.
Thank You so much for the response 🙂
Hey Tracy,
I’m curious about the success rate you see when you host the 7 day candida challenge. I’m on week 2 now and I’m just curious. When did you start to see a change in your acne when you first did it?
Thanks so much! Your site has helped me so much! Emotionally and physically! Thanks!
Hi Leah, it always takes me about three weeks to make big progress in my skin ! It’s hard to say the actual success rate within the actual 7 days, probably not that much skin wise, it tends to take a little longer than that. And people see progress in their health in different ways and at different rates. Many many participants do say they see significant positive changes though
