So, after a few weeks of waiting to hear the news, it turns out that, disappointingly, I can’t get internet at the cabin I’m living in for the summer. No, this doesn’t mean the death of The Love Vitamin, in fact… I’m sort of happy about it.
Find out what my silver lining is.

I am so jealous! Living in a cabin for the summer –not having to worry about technology 😉 —working at a kayak shop!! Sounds like heaven!! I agree that I love when I get a break from the Internet. For some reason, whenever I go back to visit my family in Chicago, even though they have computers at their house, I never ever use them. I get a full week with no e-mail, no “surfing the Web”, no Facebook, etc……..I LOVE it. It does make you feel so much freer!! It sounds like you are gonna have a wonderful summer! This is totally off the subject and if you don’t have a chance to respond, no worries!! But recently I have discovered these amazing raw treats, I think they call them “raw energy chunks” or something 😉 and they have alot of raw cacao, seeds, goji berries, etc in them.Believe it or not, this is the first time I’ve ever tried raw cacao. I was wondering if you eat much of it and how high it is on the glycemic index?? I have completely avoided sugar for about 6 months now because of candida and now am slowly incorporatng it back in with fruits and stuff but don’t want to go overboard. Do you think raw treats like this can be healthy?? 😉
Hi Bridget!! Yes, it’s been wonderful so far…. I LOVE IT! 😀 I feel so much happier than I did in Vancouver. And it’s so great not being glued to the computer, for sure. As for energy chunks… they sound really good! I actually have never had raw cacao either, but I think it’s low glycemic… it’s the added sugar that jacks up chocolate’s glycemic load.
I was about to say I love your nature wallpaper but then I heard the birds chirping haha. Your blog will be just fine so I wouldn’t sweat it.
Oh by the way, maybe you would know this. I’ve been looking for a Beta-Sitosterol supplement lately, but I can’t seem to find one that isn’t from Soy or Saw Palmetto (I’d like to keep my libido.) Do you by any chance know any stores (either online or in the real world) where one could acquire a non-contaminated Beta-Sitosterol supplement?
Haha I loved the birds chirping too! The nature background pleases me a lot…. I’ve been waiting for my new HD camera and tripod foreeeverr.. there keeps being problems with the mail etc……I’m hoping it’s going to get here this week so I can make all sorts of outdoor videos that aren’t such terrible quality haha.
As for your supplement question, the only thing I could find was this: http://www.thebestprostateformula.com/index.php which is apparently derived from pine!
I feel like things like this happen for a reason. It’s great you’ve embraced your situation! We all need a break from the computer, even if it’s for a season. Just to show ourselves it doesn’t rule our lives! I used to compulsively check my e-mail a million times an hour. I now only check it three times a day and I learned the world isn’t going to end if I don’t get to it.
I agree… it saved me a lot of money, and it was a blessing in disguise! Besides, I’ll have the internet again in the fall and I’ll get right back to being addicted, may as well enjoy the break 😉
Everything is agreed!
“we are addicted too much to technology. it makes it so much harder to really enjoy you know the quiet moments and the peacefulness.” -Tracy Bennett
I agree with you 110%!!
Jigsaw puzzle? That sounds like a blast to be honest 🙂
Ahaha, jigsaw puzzles sound so lame, but when you sit down and do one….. SO FUN! 😀
How are you doing??? How is your blog going??
i need to unglue myself from computer too, but my job is in my computer :/ and i just love surfing and looking at pretty pictures, but at the same time i can’t wait for my 10 days of vacation without computer, actually i’m jealous that you can enjoy 4 months in nature!
Have a great time!
Speaking of pretty pictures, that’s a beautiful picture you have there as your icon! Anyway… I am having a lovely time without the internet in nature, that is for sure… but it is frustrating too. It’s one of the reasons it’s taken me so long to finish my ebook, and I’m feeling guilty about those of you who won the the free copies…. so sit tight Maja, it’s coming very soon!
