Do you have to perfect on your acne diet? If you eat something unfavourable, does that send you back to square one and ruin everything you’ve done?
That’s certainly a lot of pressure!
I address these very real fears in this video, check it out.

[..YouTube..] I think it’s actually healthy to eat something different and a little junk every once in a while. I agree that it’s good for the soul. 😀 Plus it gives the body something new for a change.
Definitely…. eating out with your friends and having a good time is better for you than the stress of feeling ‘weird’ or different or bad because you can’t join in!
Funny you brought this up because I struggle with feeling “weird” or different when I’m out to eat. Like everyone orders the burger/fries and I want to order a salad, but don’t because I don’t want to stick out.
I guess there has to be some balance. I need to realize that it’s okay to be different, but at the same time realize that I do bond with other people through food. If that makes sense….
Another great post that makes me feel a little better about myself.
With my diet, I have reduced the negativity and criticism that I put myself through when I slip up. I still have a feeling of disappointment when I slip up, but this just keeps me returning to healthy foods. I’ve found that whenever I strive for perfection the only possible outcome is failure.
Exactly. Well put!
[..YouTube..] Your skin looks amazing xD
Thanks! 🙂
[..YouTube..] i agree with what your saying! i think people should just try and stick to a gi-diet personally. also if you get a spare minute, would you have a look at whiterosesoaps.co.uk , my mum and i have been working really hard on it 🙂 thanks!
Those soaps look lovely! I would definitely use those on my body… I bet they’d be wonderful! I don’t really recommend bar soap for the face though because of the lye used to make it… lye is highly basic (you know, oh the PH scale). Skin is slightly acidic so it’s best to use slightly acidic things on your face.
Hey Tracy! So glad to found you here. I read about your caveman theory where you don’t use anything on your face, not even water which I found interesting. I have started following all of the 7 steps you mentioned in your e-book, but I am using a natural soap to wash my face twice a day, morning and afternoon and drinking Bragg’s Apple cider with water twice a day. I wanted to know what are your views on that. I am really confused if I should stop using the soap and AC, and follow the caveman theory like you did. Btw I dont remember reading anything about water in your e-book, I think drinking a lot of water throughout the day has a huge impact on your skin.
Hi there – you don’t have to do the caveman thing. Gentle natural ingredients are fine too (although I’d recommend switching to raw honey or something instead of a soap). Try the caveman if you are brave enough, but if it will cause you stress, then don’t. Also you’re right about the water, I make more of a point of that in my paid ebook
