I’ve never heard of Vitamin E (tocopherol) being comedogenic, because that’s part of the reason avocado masks are supposed to help skin. But you are definitely right about it being a bigger molecule. Still not huge, but bigger than most vitamins.
Vit C is something like C6H8O6 if I remember correctly.
Vit A is C20H30O.
Vit E (according to wikipedia is C29H50O2) so it’s a slightly bigger molecule than Vit A.
I imagine like with everything else, it would break some people out and help others.
Hi Tracy!
I asked the Vit E question, thanks for the info/effort!
The jojoba is working out for me, so I’m going to give the Jojoba/Vitamin E mix a try.
I still have one question, about the aloe vera (sorry for the question overload ^^ )
Tried a 99% aloe vera daygel once, it didn’t work out, my skin dried out, and became red, and overall it gave me an uncomfortable feel. After that I tried Dr Organic’s daycream with Aloe Vera as main ingredient, same thing, skin felt like sweating, drying, and became red the first 30 min, after that it went away. But the strange thing is, that my face looked better, after a few hours, almost like it was smoothed over.
Is it possible that I have an Aloe allergy?
Or is Aloe Vera supposed to be a little drying?
Thanks again for the help and the info!
Hi Zarina,
The aloe gel does seem to be a little bit drying yes… although I just got some Aubrey Organics aloe… it doesn’t have any chemicals in it and it doesn’t seem to be as drying as the gel. However, if you found that you’ve had bad reactions to both aloe products you use, then I wouldn’t use aloe. Unfortunately, every product/ingredient/whatever has someone in which it doesn’t jive with…. whatever you use shouldn’t be uncomfortable.
