I have a bad habit – and that is when my life is feeling less than optimal, I will always feel like this moment is how things are going to be FOREVER. That’s a scary word, isn’t it? FOREVER!
But everything in this world and this life, and in your life is in a constant state of change. That includes the good stuff and the bad stuff. Sometimes it’s really hard to remember this when you’re dealing with an acne problem – it always feels like you’ll never get rid of it. But your acne had a beginning and it definitely does have an end!
Watch the quick video to get my perspective on the matter:

Do you have this bad habit too? (of feeling like this moment is how things are going to be for life)

What about if you have PCOS…?
As I understand it, PCOS is heavily influenced by diet and lifestyle, so you should be able to get your acne under ontrol even if you suffer with PCOS
Could you please write more about is? Because my doctor said diet has no influence… 🙁
Yes, I’ve been meaning to write something up about PCOS because it’s a very common problem amongst women who have acne.
Don’t be discouraged about what your doctor said – seriously. Some doctors are open to diet and lifestyle changes, but most of the time doctors are trained to believe that drugs are the only answer and if there are no drugs for that disease, then it’s incurable. Check out this video of me ranting about it in regards to acne: https://thelovevitamin.com/502/why-doctors-tell-you-acne-has-nothing-to-do-with-diet/
I don’t want to mislead you though – I don’t know if PCOS is ever something that can be “cured”. The symptoms of PCOS are not the disease itself, but just that – the symptoms. The root cause is some kind of metabolic disorder that is probably genetic, but it can be addressed with positive lifestyle changes. The diseases that we happen to experience as individuals are determined by our genes, but our genes will not express themselves in a negative way if we are healthy.
Of course, if you go back to an unhealthy lifestyle, the symptoms will likely return. But it’s the same thing with all acne problems – acne can’t really be truly “cured” because skin troubles are in our genes. And when our lifestyles go to shit, our “weak link” shows symptoms, and that is acne… but the symptom of acne can and will be kept away if you take care of yourself. It’s the same with PCOS!
Right on Tracy! I am going through BIG changes right now and its pretty exciting! I am officially known for changing my plans almost every hour.
Here is the thing… Just a few months ago I never planned. Now I plan like crazy but always change my plans based on what happens in my life. I never know whats going to happen and have chosen not to stress out about it!
Ah, the freedom to live!
And, once you realize YOUR life is going to end… you begin to truly live 🙂
I loved this video so much. I feel like my acne is never going away. Ive had it since I was 12 and Im 23…… trying msm cream now and going to introduce jojoba oil. At least the psychological part is starting to go away just because Im feeling older and feel like I cant possibly have bad skin forever
Hi Joanna!
Don’t worry – you WILL find the answer to it and there will be an end to it. Hopefully my site helps you with finding it!!! lots of love for you on your journey x
I feel the same way about my acne… Especially after it going away for some time and then returning… I feel sometimes like I’ll never be acne free.
Thanks for your reminder! <3
